TOKIO, 23. Oktober (Xinhua) - Der Taifun Lan, der am fr\u00fchen Montag \u00fcber die Pazifikk\u00fcste Zentraljapans hinwegfegte, forderte zwei Todesopfer und verursachte erhebliche St\u00f6rungen im Verkehrswesen und in der Wirtschaft.<\/p>\n

Der Taifun mit einem Luftdruck von 950 Hektopascal in seinem Zentrum und starken Windgeschwindigkeiten von bis zu 198 km\/h traf gegen 3:00 Uhr Ortszeit auf die Region der Pr\u00e4fektur Shizuoka in Zentraljapan auf der Hauptinsel Honshu.<\/p>\n

Lokalen Nachrichtenberichten zufolge hinterlie\u00df der 21. Taifun der Saison eine Spur der Verw\u00fcstung: Fl\u00fcsse traten \u00fcber die Ufer und Erdrutsche versch\u00fctteten H\u00e4user. In der westlichen Region der Pr\u00e4fektur Wakayama fielen innerhalb von 48 Stunden bis Sonntag bis zu 800 mm Regen.<\/p>\n

Nach Angaben der hiesigen Wetterbeh\u00f6rde wurde auch die Pr\u00e4fektur Mie schwer getroffen, wo der starke Sturm im gleichen Zeitraum 700 mm Regen niederschlug, was auch in Teilen der Pr\u00e4fektur Nara zu umfangreichen \u00dcberschwemmungen f\u00fchrte.<\/p>\n

Ein 63-j\u00e4hriger Mann wurde get\u00f6tet, nachdem starke Winde ein Bauger\u00fcst auf einer Baustelle in der Stadt Fukuoka im S\u00fcdwesten Japans zum Einsturz gebracht hatten. In der Pr\u00e4fektur Yamaguchi im Westen Japans kam ein 70-j\u00e4hriger Mann ums Leben, nachdem der Motor seines Bootes ausgefallen war und er ins Meer st\u00fcrzen musste.<\/p>\n

Dar\u00fcber hinaus wurde nach einer Schlammlawine, die ein Haus in der Pr\u00e4fektur Wakayama traf, der Bewohner vermisst, wie lokale Medien berichteten.<\/p>\n

Der Betrieb in den Fabriken der Toyota Motor Corp. in mehreren Pr\u00e4fekturen, darunter Iwate, Miyagi und Gifu, wird bis Montagabend eingestellt, so zitierten lokale Medien Vertreter des Unternehmens.<\/p>\n

Die beiden gr\u00f6\u00dften japanischen Fluggesellschaften, Japan Airlines Co. und All Nippon Airways Co., haben am Sonntag 350 und am Montag 170 Fl\u00fcge gestrichen. Rund 43 000 Passagiere waren von den Annullierungen betroffen.<\/p>\n

Der Shinkansen-Zugverkehr wurde auf Teilen der Tokaido-Linie eingestellt, und auch einige wichtige Fernstra\u00dfen mussten gesperrt werden.<\/p>\n

In einigen St\u00e4dten wurden Evakuierungen angeordnet, und die Ausz\u00e4hlung der Stimmen nach den Unterhauswahlen vom Sonntag wurde in Gebieten, in denen der Taifun den Zugang zu den Wahllokalen beeintr\u00e4chtigte, bis Montag ausgesetzt.<\/p>\n

Nach Angaben der japanischen Wetterbeh\u00f6rde wird der Taifun Lan zu einem zus\u00e4tzlichen tropischen Wirbelsturm herabgestuft, wenn er \u00f6stlich der n\u00f6rdlichsten Pr\u00e4fektur Japans, Hokkaido, eintrifft. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n
