NAIROBI, 18. September (Xinhua) - Die Ern\u00e4hrungs- und Landwirtschaftsorganisation der Vereinten Nationen (FAO) wird finanzielle Mittel und technisches Fachwissen zur Verf\u00fcgung stellen, um den afrikanischen L\u00e4ndern bei der Erhebung von Daten \u00fcber die Landwirtschaft zu helfen, die f\u00fcr die Bew\u00e4ltigung von Krisen im Bereich der Ern\u00e4hrungssicherheit auf dem Kontinent von zentraler Bedeutung sind, sagte ein Beamter am Montag.<\/p>\n
Gabriel Rugalema, FAO-Vertreter in Kenia, sagte, dass eine moderne Infrastruktur f\u00fcr die Datenerfassung und -verbreitung erforderlich sei, um politische Ma\u00dfnahmen zu den Herausforderungen der Landwirtschaft in Afrika, wie Klimawandel, Sch\u00e4dlinge, Krankheiten und Verlust von Bodenn\u00e4hrstoffen, zu unterst\u00fctzen.<\/p>\n
\"Regierungen und Entwicklungspartner m\u00fcssen \u00fcber genaue, zeitnahe und zug\u00e4ngliche Daten verf\u00fcgen, um auf die Ern\u00e4hrungsunsicherheit reagieren zu k\u00f6nnen, die auf dem afrikanischen Kontinent vor dem Hintergrund des raschen Bev\u00f6lkerungswachstums und des Klimawandels zugenommen hat\", sagte Rugalema.<\/p>\n
Er sprach in Nairobi w\u00e4hrend eines regionalen Rundtischgespr\u00e4chs zum Weltprogramm f\u00fcr die Landwirtschaftsz\u00e4hlung 2020 (WCA 2020), an dem politische Entscheidungstr\u00e4ger und Experten aus 20 englischsprachigen afrikanischen L\u00e4ndern teilnahmen.<\/p>\n
Die UN-Ern\u00e4hrungsorganisation organisierte das f\u00fcnft\u00e4gige Forum, um afrikanische Entscheidungstr\u00e4ger und Experten f\u00fcr die Landwirtschaftsz\u00e4hlung 2020 zu sensibilisieren, mit der neue Daten \u00fcber den Zustand dieses wichtigen Sektors erhoben werden sollen.<\/p>\n
Rugalema wies darauf hin, dass die afrikanischen L\u00e4nder sehr daran interessiert sind, an der Landwirtschaftsz\u00e4hlung 2020 teilzunehmen, die Aufschluss \u00fcber die neuen Herausforderungen in Bereichen wie t\u00f6dliche Sch\u00e4dlinge und Krankheiten, klimabedingte Schocks, Umweltverschmutzung und Verst\u00e4dterung geben wird.<\/p>\n
Er forderte die afrikanischen Regierungen auf, ihre Kapazit\u00e4ten zur Durchf\u00fchrung von Landwirtschaftsz\u00e4hlungen durch Investitionen in Personal und neue Technologien zu verbessern.<\/p>\n
\"Die F\u00e4higkeit der afrikanischen L\u00e4nder, zeitnahe und gut gef\u00fchrte Landwirtschaftsz\u00e4hlungen durchzuf\u00fchren, muss angesichts der sozialen und \u00f6kologischen Ver\u00e4nderungen, die sich auf die Leistung des Sektors ausgewirkt haben, verbessert werden\", sagte Tugalema.<\/p>\n
Er f\u00fcgte hinzu, dass der Status der Viehzucht, der Fischerei, der Gleichstellung der Geschlechter und des Klimawandels im Rahmen der globalen Landwirtschaftsz\u00e4hlung 2020 erfasst werden soll.<\/p>\n
