Das diesj\u00e4hrige Forum untersucht an zwei Tagen, wie digitale Fortschritte das internationale Handelssystem neu definieren und die globale Konnektivit\u00e4t, Innovation und Zusammenarbeit verbessern.<\/p>\n<p>Die Teilnehmer bewerten sowohl die Risiken als auch die Chancen einer sich weiterentwickelnden Reihe digitaler Tools, die darauf abzielen, kleine Unternehmen zu st\u00e4rken, den Marktzugang zu erweitern und ein robusteres, digitales Handelsumfeld aufrechtzuerhalten.<\/p>\n<p>Die Anzahl der Sitzungen wurde im Vergleich zu den Vorjahren leicht reduziert, um eine optimierte Veranstaltung zu gew\u00e4hrleisten, die sich auf einige der wichtigsten Themen des Welthandels konzentriert. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wto.org\/english\/forums_e\/public_forum25_e\/pf25_speakers_e.htm\">Mehr als 350 Referenten<\/a> werden ihre Ideen dar\u00fcber teilen, wie man die transformativen Kr\u00e4fte des digitalen Handels nutzen kann. <\/p>\n<p>Der erste Tag des \u00f6ffentlichen Forums begann mit einem in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Peterson Institute of International Economics (PIIE) organisierten Panel, bei dem untersucht wurde, wie sich Wirtschaftsf\u00fchrer auf der ganzen Welt im heutigen globalen Handelssystem zurechtfinden, in dem Vertrauen, Vorhersehbarkeit und Zusammenarbeit zunehmend auf die Probe gestellt werden.<\/p>\n<p>In ihrer Einf\u00fchrung in die Sitzung sagte Generaldirektorin Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, dass das globale Handelssystem zwar \u201everbogen, aber nicht kaputt\u201c sei. <\/p>\n<p> Die GD stellte fest, dass die WTO der stabile Kern eines Systems ist, in dem immer noch 72 % der Waren unter WTO-Bedingungen gehandelt werden, aber Reformen und Vorhersehbarkeit erforderlich sind. <\/p>\n<p>Unter der Leitung von Cecelia Malmstr\u00f6m und Chad Bown von PIIE und mit Vertretern des Privatsektors, die auf f\u00fcnf Kontinenten Gesch\u00e4fte t\u00e4tigen, stellten die Diskussionsteilnehmer fest, dass der Handel Wohlstand, Wachstum und Unternehmensergebnisse steigert. <\/p>\n<p>Cynthia Sanfilippo, Vizepr\u00e4sidentin f\u00fcr globale \u00f6ffentliche Angelegenheiten bei L\u2019Oreal, sagte: \u201eMit dem Allgemeinen Zoll- und Handelsabkommen und jetzt mit der WTO hat die Standardisierung von Z\u00f6llen und Steuern zu einem Aufschwung im internationalen Handel gef\u00fchrt. Sie wissen also, dass uns das wichtig ist.\u201c<\/p>\n<p>Rosario Navarro Betteley, Pr\u00e4sidentin von SOFAFA Chile, sagte, dass die H\u00e4lfte des chilenischen BIP im vergangenen Jahr aus dem internationalen Handel stammte.<\/p>\n<p>Philippe Varian, Vorsitzender der Internationalen Handelskammer (ICC), sagte: \u201eBei der ICC haben wir 45 Millionen Unternehmen auf der ganzen Welt. Ich war letzte Woche beim World Chambers Congress in Melbourne und kann Ihnen sagen, dass es gro\u00dfe Sorgen gibt. Dies wird sich stark auf Unternehmensentscheidungen auswirken und auch die Vorteile f\u00fcr die Verbraucher werden wegfallen.\u201c<\/p>\n<p>Auf diese Sitzung folgte die Enth\u00fcllung der WTO <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wto.org\/english\/res_e\/publications_e\/wtr25_e.htm\">Welthandelsbericht 2025<\/a> von GD Okonjo-Iweala und eine Podiumsdiskussion mit Schwerpunkt auf den Chancen und Herausforderungen f\u00fcr den Welthandel, die sich durch das Aufkommen k\u00fcnstlicher Intelligenz (KI) ergeben.<\/p>\n<p>Auch in diesem Jahr nimmt das Forum zwei Neuerungen ins Programm auf.<\/p>\n<p>Der Trade Policy Hub, eine Zusammenarbeit mit dem <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tprforum.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Forschungsforum f\u00fcr Handelspolitik<\/a> am 17. September soll eine Br\u00fccke zwischen Forschung und Politikgestaltung schlagen, indem der Dialog zwischen Forschern und Politikexperten gef\u00f6rdert wird.<\/p>\n<p>Der Forschungshub des WTO Chairs Program (WCP) wird am 18.
