PHNOM PENH, 22 jul (Xinhua) - La polic\u00eda camboyana detuvo el s\u00e1bado a un hombre laosiano por presunto contrabando de casi 5 kilos de metanfetamina cristalina de Laos a Camboya, inform\u00f3 un oficial de la polic\u00eda antidroga.<\/p>\n

Yin Panharith, jefe de un equipo antidroga del Departamento Antidroga del Ministerio del Interior, declar\u00f3 que Chakly Chertaly, de 22 a\u00f1os, fue capturado en la provincia septentrional camboyana de Stung Treng, fronteriza con Laos.<\/p>\n

\"Durante la redada se incautaron al sospechoso cinco grandes paquetes de droga il\u00edcita que pesaban en total casi 5 kilogramos\", declar\u00f3 en un informe hecho p\u00fablico a los medios de comunicaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

Camboya no condena a muerte a los narcotraficantes. Seg\u00fan su legislaci\u00f3n, una persona que trafique con m\u00e1s de 80 gramos de droga se enfrentar\u00e1 a cadena perpetua.<\/p>\n

El pa\u00eds del sudeste asi\u00e1tico hab\u00eda detenido a 9.694 sospechosos en 4.334 casos relacionados con las drogas durante los seis primeros meses de 2017, seg\u00fan un informe de la Autoridad Nacional de Lucha contra las Drogas (NACD), que a\u00f1adi\u00f3 que se hab\u00edan confiscado m\u00e1s de 120 kilogramos de drogas il\u00edcitas. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n
