PHNOM PENH, 22 juillet (Xinhua) - La police cambodgienne a arr\u00eat\u00e9 samedi un Laotien soup\u00e7onn\u00e9 d'avoir introduit en contrebande pr\u00e8s de 5 kilos de m\u00e9thamph\u00e9tamine en cristaux du Laos vers le Cambodge, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 un officier de la police antidrogue.<\/p>\n

Yin Panharith, chef d'une \u00e9quipe antidrogue au sein du d\u00e9partement antidrogue du minist\u00e8re de l'int\u00e9rieur, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 que Chakly Chertaly, 22 ans, avait \u00e9t\u00e9 arr\u00eat\u00e9 dans la province de Stung Treng, au nord du Cambodge, \u00e0 la fronti\u00e8re avec le Laos.<\/p>\n

\"Cinq gros paquets de drogue illicite pesant pr\u00e8s de 5 kg ont \u00e9t\u00e9 saisis sur le suspect au cours du raid\", a-t-il d\u00e9clar\u00e9 dans un rapport transmis aux m\u00e9dias.<\/p>\n

Le Cambodge ne pr\u00e9voit pas de peine de mort pour les trafiquants de drogue. En vertu de sa l\u00e9gislation, une personne qui fait le trafic de plus de 80 grammes de drogue est passible d'une peine d'emprisonnement \u00e0 perp\u00e9tuit\u00e9.<\/p>\n

Le pays d'Asie du Sud-Est a arr\u00eat\u00e9 9 694 suspects dans 4 334 affaires li\u00e9es \u00e0 la drogue au cours des six premiers mois de 2017, indique un rapport de l'Autorit\u00e9 nationale de lutte contre la drogue (NACD), ajoutant que plus de 120 kilogrammes de drogues illicites ont \u00e9t\u00e9 confisqu\u00e9s. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n
