Wijesekara du Sri Lanka, pr\u00e9sident du comit\u00e9, a facilit\u00e9 les consultations.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Le pr\u00e9sident a not\u00e9 que les \u00c9tats-Unis avaient <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.wto.org\/dol2fe\/Pages\/SS\/directdoc.aspx?filename=Q:\/WT\/BOP\/N85-01.pdf&amp;Open=True\">notifi\u00e9<\/a> \u00e0 l'OMC une surtaxe temporaire de 10 % \u00e0 l'importation en vertu de l'article XII de l'Accord g\u00e9n\u00e9ral sur les tarifs douaniers et le commerce (GATT). La mesure a pris effet le 24 f\u00e9vrier 2026 et expirera le 24 juillet 2026, sauf prolongation par un acte du Congr\u00e8s. Il a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 que l'objectif de la r\u00e9union \u00e9tait de permettre un \u00e9change de vues complet pour mieux comprendre les d\u00e9fis auxquels les \u00c9tats-Unis sont confront\u00e9s et explorer les voies possibles pour progresser dans le dialogue entre les \u00c9tats-Unis et les membres.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Conform\u00e9ment aux r\u00e8gles de l'OMC, le FMI a \u00e9t\u00e9 invit\u00e9 \u00e0 pr\u00e9senter son point de vue sur la situation de la balance des paiements des \u00c9tats-Unis, sur la base de l'\u00e9valuation du Conseil d'administration du FMI \u00e0 l'issue de la consultation de 2026 au titre de l'article IV avec les \u00c9tats-Unis. Le Secr\u00e9tariat de l'OMC a \u00e9galement fourni un <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.wto.org\/dol2fe\/Pages\/SS\/directdoc.aspx?filename=Q:\/WT\/BOP\/S19.pdf&amp;Open=True\">document de r\u00e9f\u00e9rence<\/a> sur la question.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Les \u00c9tats-Unis ont fait une d\u00e9claration compl\u00e8te sur les mesures mises en place. Les membres ont remerci\u00e9 les \u00c9tats-Unis pour leur transparence et les informations d\u00e9taill\u00e9es partag\u00e9es pour faciliter la consultation.
