{"id":3275,"date":"2025-09-20T20:22:21","date_gmt":"2025-09-20T12:22:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/moresourcing.com\/c_136171059-htm\/"},"modified":"2025-09-20T20:22:21","modified_gmt":"2025-09-20T12:22:21","slug":"c_136171059-htm","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/moresourcing.com\/zh\/c_136171059-htm\/","title":{"rendered":"DPRK slams U.S. for orchestrating efforts to tighten financial sanctions against Pyongyang &#8211; Xinhua"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div id=\"content\">\n<p><iframe frameborder=\"0\" style=\"width:100%; height:200px; display:none; margin:0 auto;\" width=\"100%\" height=\"200\" scrolling=\"no\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" src=\"\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>PYONGYANG, March 30 (Xinhua) &#8212; The Democratic People&#8217;s Republic of Korea (DPRK) has slammed the United States for orchestrating efforts to tighten financial sanctions against Pyongyang.<\/p>\n<p>At a plenary meeting of the International Financial Supervisory Body held in Paris in February, the U.S.-led hostile forces &#8220;again staged a farce of re-listing the DPRK as a target of &#8216;countermeasure&#8217; for blocking its financial transactions with other countries,&#8221; the Korean Central News Agency quoted a spokesman for the DPRK Foreign Ministry as saying on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;They pressurized the Society for World Interbank Financial Telecommunication (SWIFT) headquartered in Belgium into terminating its financial communication services to the banks of the DPRK,&#8221; said the spokesman.<\/p>\n<p>The U.S. House of Representatives has produced a &#8220;bill on escalating sanctions with respect to transactions with North Korea&#8221; after modifying and supplementing the &#8220;North Korea Sanctions and Policy Enhancement Act of 2016,&#8221; the spokesman added.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It has gone the lengths of crying out for independent sanctions against banks and businesses of other countries dealing with the DPRK after inventing absurd pretexts.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Although a step was taken by SWIFT to ban its communications with the banks of the DPRK, &#8220;the DPRK is doing its best after establishing the system of anti-money laundering and combating financing of terrorism in accordance with international standard,&#8221; the spokesman said.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>#DPRK #slams #U.S #orchestrating #efforts #tighten #financial #sanctions #Pyongyang #Xinhua<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>PYONGYANG, March 30 (Xinhua) &#8212; The Democratic People&#8217;s Republic of Korea (DPRK) has slammed the United States for orchestrating efforts to tighten financial sanctions against Pyongyang.
