The South Korean megastars had been widely tipped to be in the running for several of the Grammys’ top honours, including Album of the Year, after their comeback album, Arirang, became one of this year’s bestselling hits. “We have decided not to enter the Grammys this year,” BTS members said in coordinated posts on their individual social media accounts. “We hope that music is heard and loved for what it is, rather than being defined by […]

The intensity of the elements, along with sketchy infrastructure, can make traversing Pakistan’s mountains feel like a grand adventure. That’s mostly how I felt as I moved through Chitral, a […]

These training activities, led by the WTO Secretariat, are intended to help government officials broaden their expertise in WTO matters, including members’ rights and obligations under WTO agreements. The programmes also help officials improve their ability to negotiate trade rules and promote their domestic interests. Over 13,000 participants took part in technical assistance activities in 2025, among which 29 per cent were from LDCs. Lithuania’s WTO Ambassador Raimondas Alisauskas said: “As the international trading system faces serious challenges, we hope that Lithuania’s support will help developing countries strengthen […]

ALISON BEARD: Adi, today’s show is about China and Chinese company competitiveness, which I know is a topic of perpetual interest to you. ADI IGNATIUS: It is. I lived in China for many years. I followed its economic development closely. There’s so much happening in China, and I think it’s fair to say the West does not understand most of what’s happening. ALISON BEARD: Yes, and that’s why I wanted to talk to Stanford research fellow Dan Wang. He spent years living in and traveling around China to better understand its economy and […]
